Does anyone want to be Temple University's president?
A second finalist for the job, Towson University President Robert L. Caret, announced this morning that he was no longer a candidate. John A. Fry, the president of Franklin & Marshall, said yesterday that he too had withdrawn his name.
Out of Temple's original pool of three finalists, only one now remains: Ann Weaver Hart, president of the University of New Hampshire.
A series of high-level meetings today involving trustees and campus leaders could lead either to Hart being named as the search committee's official nominee, or to a reopening of the search process.
