Comcast and Gatorade to work on programming
Comcast Corp., the biggest U.S. cable-television provider, and PepsiCo Inc.'s Gatorade unit signed an advertising agreement yesterday to develop programming. Gatorade and Comcast's network Exercisetv will create a series of sports-training programs, Philadelphia-based Comcast said. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Comcast, which has about 10 million digital-cable customers with access to on-demand programming, is generating ad sales by working with companies to create shows and channels. Comcast has created on-demand networks this year including a horror channel, with Sony Corp., and Exercisetv to boost advertising sales. Gatorade sports drink and Propel Fitness water will become exclusive sponsors...
