Gavin Floyd stared into the right-field bleachers last night at Dodger Stadium.
He just stood on the mound and stared.
The Phillies have seen that lost look before. One has to wonder how much longer they can continue to send the righthander to the mound every five days, especially if they truly believe they have a chance to win the National League East. Floyd gave the Phillies no chance to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in a 7-2 loss last night.
"I'm having some rough times right now," he said afterward.
In four innings, Floyd allowed seven hits, seven runs, four walks and three home runs. He is 4-3 with a 7.29 ERA this season, easily the highest in the National League. His ERA is the second-highest in baseball, behind only the 7.81 of Minnesota Twins...
