Chemicals firm opens research center in Bristol
Rhodia Inc., a specialty-chemicals company, opened its North American research and technical center in Bristol, Bucks County, the company said in a statement yesterday. It moved its operations from Cranbury, N.J. The new Bristol facility houses laboratories that focus on its main markets, including the pharmaceutical industry, home and personal care, paints and coatings and oil-field technologies, the French company said. The state of Pennsylvania offered Rhodia a $476,000 financial package, Gov. Rendell's office said.- Rhonda Dickey
