Glassboro realizing its potential

There's much ado in downtown Glassboro.

Things are on an upswing. "People are now willing to invest large amounts of dollars in Glassboro," said Joe Brigandi Jr., borough manager and a lifelong resident. As examples, he pointed to businesses like Land Dimension, an engineering firm that moved into and renovated a former bank; a new coffee house; and Innovasion, a vintage home accessories store.

Theresa Di Vietro, whose husband, Larry, opened Land Dimension in 2003, opened Innovasion in November. Although she lives in Wenonah, Di Vietro has become a Glassboro booster.

"I wouldn't be here if I didn't believe in the future of Glassboro," she said.

A decade ago, the future didn't look very bright.
