Rowan injured as Phils hold off Cubs

The Phillies are hoping they don't lose centerfielder Aaron Rowand after Monday night's 6-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Rowand, who broke his nose and face May 11 when he slammed into the center-field fence at Citizens Bank Park, sprained his left ankle after a violent collision with Chase Utley in shallow center field in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Rowand was headed to a hospital for precautionary X-rays.
Utley, who along with Rowand pursued a fly ball from John Mabry, slammed into Rowand's head and left shoulder. Rowand flipped over, and as he rolled his left knee appeared to buckle. But it was his left ankle that apparently took the worst of it. Utley bounced up,...
