Bradley Caraker has had a profound effect on the Gateway football program, which explains why the Gators have made their home opener on Friday a special night. After the game against Haddon Township, the Gators will present the game ball to the Caraker family. Bradley Caraker won't be there. Tragically, at age 9, the boy with the mischievous smile lost a gallant battle with leukemia and died in May.
But his adventurous spirit lives in the hearts of the Gateway players. "Bradley loved sports and loved football," Gateway coach Mark Deal said, "and we felt it appropriate to do something."
