Swarthmore offers wealth of Halloween activities A scarecrow-decorating contest will be one of the old-fashioned Halloween events at the Swarthmore Town Center from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Beginning at noon on the Borough Hall lawn along Park Avenue, there will be a host of activities for the family.
Participants can help decorate one of the Town Center's 10 scarecrows. Winners and prizes will be announced at the Swarthmore Lions Club Halloween parade Oct. 27. Also at the Borough Hall, 121 Park Ave., participants can decorate and take home one of the 200 pumpkins being donated by Swarthmore Town Center Inc.
