Ivy League champ Penn faces Cornell tonight

A battle royal between Dartmouth and Harvard began the 50th anniversary of Ivy League basketball on Saturday, and the six other teams in the Ancient Eight will play conference openers this weekend. Tonight, two-time defending champ Penn (7-6), which is under first-year coach Glen Miller, will visit Cornell (7-7).
Princeton (9-4) is at Columbia (9-5), and Dartmouth (6-7, 1-0) travels to Harvard (7-8, 0-1) after handing the visiting Crimson an 80-73 overtime loss last week. Yale (4-9) and Brown (5-10), which are travel partners for road games, won't meet until tomorrow night in Providence, R.I.
