Topic: RSS FeedNew campaign to promote Philadelphia Catholic education
Philadelphia Inquirer, The, January, 2007 by Martha Woodall
In an effort to stem declining enrollment in area Catholic schools, officials from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced today they are rolling out a $500,000 marketing campaign promoting the value of a Catholic education.
"For more than century, the archdiocese has sharply focused on providing an unparalleled education experience rooted in Gospel values such as respect, justice and service," Bishop Joseph P. McFadden, auxiliary bishop, said during a morning press conference at St. Matthew Catholic elementary school in the Northeast. "This campaign will proudly communicate why a Catholic education is a unique and worthwhile investment."
Dubbed "Keeping faith in mind," the campaign will include radio spots, print advertising and banner ads on SEPTA buses that highlight values such as hope, truth and service that are taught in Catholic schools.
