Colonials sweat out victory over Aces

Plymouth Whitemarsh coach Jim Donofrio was dripping with perspiration during most of last night's PIAA District 1 Class AAAA boys' basketball semifinal against Lower Merion.
Some may think that was because it was extremely warm in Villanova University's Pavilion. Others may say Donofrio was sweating over the thought of losing in the district semifinals for the fourth consecutive season.
Whatever the case, Donofrio and his Colonials put aside their semifinal miseries by pinning a 61-53 defeat on the Aces.
"It's a relief," the PW coach said. "We've been able to have a good four-year run, but before tonight the dirt road had a cliff at the end of it."
