Subaru of America appoints new CEO

Subaru of America Inc., Cherry Hill, today said Tomohiko Ikeda was named to replace chief executive officer Kunio Ishigami.
Ishigami will return to Japan as an advisor to Subaru's parent company, Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., the company said.
Ikeda's appointment is effective April 1. He has been with Fuji for 30 years, most recently as corporate vice president.
Ishigami has been chairman, president and chief executive of Subaru of America since June 2004. He has been with Fuji for 38 years, holding a variety of management roles.
