Colin's sudden switch to southpaw foils Stewart

A head butt in Round 6 did the most visible damage to a bloody-faced Mike Stewart last night in the main event at the New Alhambra.
But Stewart was hurt the most when unheralded opponent Enrique Colin of Guasave, Mexico, switched to southpaw in Round 4 and did the real harm with his fists.
Colin came out fast from the start and took a majority decision over Stewart, the crowd favorite from New Castle, Del.
With the loss, the 29-year-old Stewart dropped to 41-6-2. Colin improved to 22-3-3.
Eric Gomez, matchmaker for promoter Golden Boy Promotions, said before the junior-welterweight fight that Colin, 24, might surprise some people.
