EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Here's a snippet from last night's East Regional championship game that few could have imagined: North Carolina's Tyler Hansbrough hunched over with his hands on his knees late in overtime, sucking wind, barking out an obscenity in frustration.

It was supposed to be Georgetown that would get worn down by the top-seeded Tar Heels' depth and high-speed assault. It happened to Southern Cal on Friday night. It happened to most of Carolina's opponents on its way to the No. 1 seed in the East.
