WHYY chief to Drexel job?

Paul Gluck, manager of the public television and radio station WHYY, is resigning to take over Drexel University's Kal and Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies, the station said in a staff memo yesterday.

But the man to whom Gluck would report indicated that the announcement of his appointment was premature. Gluck and Drexel do not have a signed contract, said Allen Sabinson, dean of Drexel's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design.

Gluck, who did not return calls left with a WHYY spokesman, also will start a media-consulting business, the WHYY staff memo said.
