At 49, James R. Tucker has retired once - from the University of Cincinnati, following a 30-year career there. He likes the retirement checks, but he's not resting. On March 2, Tucker became Drexel University's new senior vice president of student life and administrative services.

He succeeded Anthony Caneris, who will be retiring from Drexel in June.

Tucker started working in 1977 as a 19-year-old parking lot attendant at Cincinnati, earning tuition remission while he attended college. He worked up the ranks to become the university's vice president for administrative and business services in 2002.
