Sean O'Hair, the PGA Tour pro from West Chester, qualified for his second U.S. Open yesterday, carding a 36-hole score of 140 to advance from sectional competition in Columbus, Ohio.
O'Hair, 24, fired rounds of 69 and 71 at the Ohio State University Scarlet Golf Course and the Scioto Country Club to qualify for the 107th Open, beginning June 14, at Oakmont (Pa.) Country Club.
More than a dozen amateurs and pros from the Philadelphia area failed to qualify at various sites.
