Rags to Riches gets exam in a 2-day stay at New Bolton

Rags to Riches, the first filly to win the Belmont Stakes in 102 years, just finished a two-day stay at the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center and it remains unclear if she is ready and able to get back to the racetrack.

Today, a veterinarian is flying in from Ireland to review the results of the New Bolton exam.

A high fever had forced Rags to Riches to miss the Coaching Club American Oaks at Belmont Park last Saturday. She has also missed her last two scheduled workouts. On Sunday, her exercise rider pulled her up at the start of a five-furlong breeze.
