Ahmeenah Young, executive vice president of the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority, has been given additional operating responsibilities that belonged previously to chief operating officer Dittie F. Guise, according to a message sent yesterday by the authority's chief executive.
CEO Albert Mezzaroba told the Convention Center staff in an e-mail that Young, who has more than 20 years' experience in the region's hospitality business, "will be taking on the additional task of managing all operational areas of the center," effective immediately.
Young said in a brief interview that she would not be the chief operating officer for the building, but that details about her role should come from Mezzaroba. He did not immediately return a phone call yesterday afternoon.
