It is time to applaud fantasy owners who recognized the potential in Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and seized the opportunity to draft him. After a record-setting game by the rookie, it is easy to forget that in August, Peterson was labeled more risk than reward. The critics said Peterson was injury-prone and risky because of an upright running style vulnerable to dangerous hits.
Besides, the Vikings already had a starting running back in Chester Taylor. Many fantasy draft magazines ranked Peterson below 20 other running backs, including Taylor.
