It is time to applaud fantasy owners who recognized the potential in Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and seized the opportunity to draft him. After a record-setting game by the rookie, it is easy to forget that in August, Peterson was labeled more risk than reward. The critics said Peterson was injury-prone and risky because of an upright running style vulnerable to dangerous hits.

Besides, the Vikings already had a starting running back in Chester Taylor. Many fantasy draft magazines ranked Peterson below 20 other running backs, including Taylor. Halfway through the season, Peterson is outrunning those perceptions. Purple hasn't looked this intimidating since Samuel L. Jackson wore the regal color as Mr. Glass inĀ  Unbreakable . Fantasy owners can only hope they don't...
