Philly's Jardine is courted by trouble

Scoop Jardine's plans for a Philly homecoming appear to be on hold. The former Philadelphia high school star has been suspended indefinitely from the Syracuse University men's basketball team for being linked to a stolen campus identification card. Jardine, a 6-foot-1 freshman guard from Neumann-Goretti, averaged 5.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in about 20 minutes per game for Syracuse.

The Orange are to play Villanova on Saturday night at the Wachovia Center. Asked yesterday whether he would join his teammates in Philadelphia, Jardine said, "I have no idea right now." Jardine's cousin, Robert Washington, 40, of Philadelphia, was arraigned yesterday on felony charges of second-degree forgery and fourth-degree grand larceny, and a misdemeanor count of third-degree identity...
