Temple at Ambler plans Black History Month events Temple University Ambler will celebrate Black History Month with a series of arts events on campus. The university's Spring 2008 Cultural Affairs Series will begin with a "Tuesdays at Noon" concert by the Boyer College of Music and Dance on Tuesday in the Learning Center Auditorium.
Saxophonist and Boyer faculty member Dick Oatts will lead a senior ensemble in selections from the jazz repertoire. The concert will run from noon to 1 p.m. On Wednesday, the New Jersey-based Universal African Dance and Drum Ensemble will perform a visual and aural celebration of African culture in the Learning Center Auditorium. The 7:30 p.m. program will feature Pasha the Stilt Walker, dancers, acrobats, drummers and "ground masquerades."...
