Sixers Notes: Van Gundy hoped for a Miller move

76ers Notes ORLANDO, Fla. - In the weeks leading up to Thursday's trade deadline, 76ers president and general manager  Ed Stefanski  insisted that the Sixers did not want to part with  Andre Miller . Even though Miller was a valued commodity and the Sixers received plenty of inquiries about him, he wasn't dealt.

Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy had expected a trade. "Quite honestly, I was really hoping he would be traded and they wouldn't have anybody for tonight," Van Gundy said before last night's game against the Sixers at Amway Arena. "I was rooting for a trade, and Ed Stefanski let me down." Van Gundy is a big booster of Miller, calling him one of the most underrated players in the NBA.
