Carl Edwards won his second straight NASCAR Sprint Cup race, holding off the field on two late restarts to win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway yesterday. Edwards, who won a rain-postponed event in California last Monday, celebrated his second win of the season with his trademark backflip. Dale Earnhardt Jr.
finished second and was followed by Greg Biffle , Edwards' Roush Fenway Racing teammate. Richard Childress Racing drivers Kevin Harvick and Jeff Burton rounded out the top five. Edwards' win may not be controversy-free: NASCAR discovered the lid was off of his oil-tank box during postrace inspection and is taking the parts back to North Carolina for further inspection.
