Little Flower bowling coach Jack Rooney had the help of his athletes and maybe a little help from above as the Sentinels took the Catholic League title yesterday at Boulevard Lanes. Jules Feltwell paced Little Flower with a 624 series including games of 214, 195 and 215. Liz Stout added a 598 series with games of 160, 211 and 227, Tara Flaville contributed games of 166, 189 and 223 for a 578 series and Katie Brady chipped in with games of 184, 174 and 162 for a 520 series.
"This is probably the best team I've ever had, average-wise," Rooney said after finishing his 21st season with his second title. "They've averaged over 700 [pins per game] which is good for four girls. We were exceptional. We were on. We brought our "A" game and everything worked for us." This was...
