Eric Eder and Tom Radziak combined to stymie visiting Northeast as Washington got past the Vikings, 6-5, in a Public League baseball game yesterday. Eder pitched the first 62/3 innings, giving up seven hits while striking out five and walking two. Radziak came on to get the final out, a line drive to second with a runner on second.
Washington did most of its damage with five runs in the second inning, sparked by a two-run single by Stan Borodyansky. Catholic Red. Shawn O'Neill pitched six innings and helped hold Roman Catholic to a single in a 7-0 La Salle victory. O'Neill struck out eight and walked two. Andrew Wood collected three singles and scored a run for the Explorers. Tim Ashenbrenner scored all the runs Father Judge would need in a 2-0 win over visiting North Catholic .
