Local favorite  Denny Hamlin  used a late pit stop for tires to foil the strategy of fellow NASCAR stars  Kevin Harvick , who finished second, and  Carl Edwards , who ended up seventh, blowing by them to win the Nationwide Series Lipton Tea 250 last night at Richmond International Raceway in Virginia.

Earlier, Hamlin won the pole for tonight's Sprint Cup Dan Lowry 400 with a lap of 126.198 m.p.h. at the Richmond track. The pole was the sixth of his career.
