Soul clinch playoff spot

Although they did not play last weekend because of a bye, the Soul clinched an AFL playoff spot on Saturday when the Dallas Desperados beat the Cleveland Gladiators, 68-52. In a scheduling twist, the Soul (10-3) will take on the Eastern Division–leading Desperados (11-2) on Saturday at 8 p.m. at American Airlines Center.
The Soul trail the Desperados by one game in the standings. With just three regular-season games left for the Soul, Saturday's matchup could go a long way in determining the division winner and which team has home-field advantage throughout the conference playoffs.
