Widener set to host all-star baseball game Delaware County's best baseball players will compete against the U.S. military's finest this week. The Delaware County Baseball League All-Stars will play the U.S. Military All-Stars on Thursday at Widener University, One University Place, Chester. Ceremonies will start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the game.
Many of the athletes will participate the next day at Widener in a symposium focusing on athletes and the military from World War II to Iraq. The military squad includes active duty, reserve personnel, and veterans who participate while off-duty. The players cover their own expenses.
