If this was indeed a World Series preview, then we can expect a quick one in October. Maybe even another Boston Red Sox sweep, just like in 2004 and 2007. The Phillies are halfway through exam week - three games against the Red Sox and three against the Los Angeles Angels, another American League power - and it hasn't gone well so far.
We'll give them a C because that was one heck of a win Monday night, with Cole Hamels tossing seven strong ones and Ryan Howard belting two homers and a triple. But that's hardly the mark of a champion, and that's what everyone here is hoping for, right? A World Series champion, right?
