Philadelphia Inquirer, The, June, 2008 by Compiled By The Inquirer Staff

American Jamie Driscoll took a slim victory over American Sheldon Deeny and Canadian David Veilleux in yesterday's 104-mile Stage 3 of the Tour of Pennsylvania. Riding from Camp Hill to Bedford, Driscoll won with a furious sprint at the finish. His time to complete the ride was 4 hours, 13 minutes, 55 seconds.

"I don't know where my sprint came from, but I am really surprised to win here today," Driscoll said. Steven Van Vooren of Belgium finished 13th and remained the overall leader. The tour, with a purse of $150,000, is a six-day, 450-mile race for 104 riders under 25. It began Tuesday in Philadelphia and will end Sunday in Pittsburgh. Today's race is a 59.5-mile ride from Bedford to Latrobe.
