Sports in Brief: Nolan signs 2-year pact with Wild

Owen Nolan , the 36-year-old forward who spent last season with the Calgary Flames, signed a two-year, $5.5 million deal with the Minnesota Wild yesterday. Nolan had 16 goals and 16 assists in 77 games for the Flames last season, his 16th in the NHL. He had played for four other NHL teams. The Wild also signed goalie  Barry Brust  to a multiyear contract and right winger  Jesse Schultz  to a one-year deal.

Last season, Brust was with the Houston Aeros, the Wild's top minor-league affiliate, while Schultz played for the AHL's Chicago Wolves.
