Because of the high ticket demand by fans who want to atttend one more hockey game in the Wachovia Spectrum, the Flyers plan to add another preseason game in their former home. The Flyers will take on the Phantoms, their AHL affiliate, Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The official announcement will be made next week.
Earlier, the Flyers announced they would play a preseason game at the Spectrum against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. Club chairman Ed Snider and president Peter Luukko "want it to be a celebration of the Spectrum for the fans who made it what it is - and give it the respect it deserves," said Shawn Tilger, the Flyers' senior vice president of business operations.
