Police charge Phila. man with firing into crowded bar

Philadelphia police arrested a man yesterday on charges that he fired wantonly into a crowded Hunting Park bar during the weekend, killing one man and injuring six others.
Police said Pedro Colon, 22, was ejected from La Quinta Restaurant & Bar, at Fifth and Courtland Streets, after he got into a fight inside the bar Saturday night. He got into another fight outside and was barred from reentering, police said.
Colon, of the 600 block of West Rising Sun Avenue, then went home, changed his shirt, and returned with a gun about 1 a.m. Sunday, police said. When he again was blocked from entering, Colon fired into the bar from the doorway, hitting seven people, police said.
