* Feel like you need a Lord of the Rings refresher course before you plunge into the final film in the trilogy? Starz is running the first two movies all weekend, including a back-to-back marathon on Saturday. Settle in for a long but rewarding evening of TV: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (5:20 p.m. ET/PT), followed by The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (9 p.m. ET/PT).

* Or, if you like, you can watch a slightly older and much wetter blockbuster. NBC airs Titanic (Sunday, 7 p.m. ET/PT). The ship was great, the people, not so much.

* PBS' Masterpiece Theatre repeats its unsatisfactory remake of The Forsyte Saga (Sunday, 9 p.m. ET/PT, times may vary). The male leads, Damian Lewis, Ioan Gruffudd and Rupert Graves, are fine, but Gina McKee can't...
