Memoirs: An actress, a shah's wife, an ex-nun

Three noteworthy new memoirs are in circulation this week:

* 'Tis Herself: A Memoir by Maureen O'Hara with John Nicoletti (Simon & Schuster, $25). The Irish beauty and actress began her career in Dublin's Abbey Theatre. She starred in classics: The Quiet Man with John Wayne, directed by John Ford; Oscar-winning How Green Was My Valley ; Miracle on 34th Street (with Natalie Wood). This engaging tale tells about working with Ford, among other luminaries.

* An Enduring Love by Farah Pahlavi (Miramax, $24.95). Memoir from the widow of the Shah of Iran, who was deposed in 1979 by Islamic fundamentalists.
