More than 1,000 independent booksellers, members of the American Booksellers Association, recently cast votes for the books they most enjoy recommending. The titles are part of Book Sense 76 (booksense.com), the association's 5-year-old list of bookseller favorites. The 25 winners (listed alphabetically by title in each category) were chosen from 223 adult and 148 children's titles:
