The laughs were on Donald Trump Friday afternoon as the real-estate-mogul-turned- Apprentice star submitted to that comedy institution known as a Friars Club Roast.
A motley crew of celebs showed up at the New York Hilton to watch Friars dean Freddie Roman , "roastmaster" Regis Philbin and other comedians mock The Donald. On the dais, Katie Couric , Mike Wallace , John McEnroe and the Rev. Al Sharpton rubbed elbows with Victoria Gotti and Survivor survivor Richard Hatch .
Another reality television alumnus, Last Comic Standing 's Rich Vos , was one of several roasters who gave a nod to the guest of honor's reported financial troubles.
Trump put his name on his buildings, Vos quipped, so that "the banks know which ones to take back."
