RESERVE, La. -- Shortly after Reserve Christian School defeated Ellender Memorial High 83-76 in the Jan.28 Hall of Fame Classic, some commented on the subpar performance by Demond Carter.
"I wish you could have seen the real 'Tweety,'" Reserve coach Tim Byrd said, lamenting about his star guard.
"He looked a little tired," added Byrd's father, Ronnie, a high school basketball coach for 50 years.
Carter's mother, Gladys Lumar, echoed that by saying her son was so exhausted he went home to sleep.
Carter's disappointing night for his team, now 40-7:
