Former 'N Sync singer Lance Bass, 27, has announced that he is gay and in a "very stable" relationship with The Amazing Race winner Reichen Lehmkuhl, 32.
The former boy-band star knew "from childhood on" that he was gay, he tells People magazine, which arrives on stands Friday. After revealing his news to friends and family and feeling the daily pressure of gossip rumors, Bass decided he was ready to go public.
Bass met Lehmkuhl last year, when the former Air Force pilot signed on as the singer's real estate agent.
"We've been dating for a few months," the singer says. "This is a huge turning point in my life and also in his life, too." Lehmkuhl has been focusing on acting and gay rights activism since winning Race in 2003.
