The iPod toilet-roll holder that Steve Jobs showed at last week's Apple event in San Francisco might be the oddest of the more than 3,000 accessories made for the portable music players. Then again, there are the "plug & play" Levi's RedWire DLX Jeans I've been wearing. The dark blue denim pants come with iPod docking cradles (of varying sizes) that you hide in a side pocket.
A white joystick controller that lets you play, pause, advance/retreat and adjust the volume is built into the jeans' watch pocket. A retractable headphone unit is connected to the jeans' waistband. The Levi's, which are for men and women, get their name from a red wire that connects the cradle to the jeans. The new Levi's are one of several "wearable" iPod accessories being sold.
