Malkin dislocates shoulder

Heralded Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Evgeni Malkin suffered a dislocated shoulder in his NHL preseason debut Wednesday, but the team won't know how long he'll be out until he is re-examined next week. Malkin fell hard to the ice in Moncton, New Brunswick, in a game that was being broadcast back to Pittsburgh.
He collided with teammate John LeClair, who had lost an edge and tripped. Malkin's agent, Pat Brisson, said Penguins general manager Ray Shero told him Wednesday night that Malkin was smiling when he got on the team bus after returning from the hospital.
