As of Tuesday morning, 2,709 U.S. servicemembers and seven Defense Department civilians had been identified as having died in the war in Iraq: 2,163 from hostile action and 553 from non-combat-related incidents. Latest deaths identified: *Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael A. Monsoor, 25, Garden Grove, Calif.; died Friday while conducting combat operations in Ramadi; Navy SEAL.
