Prime-time competition is heating up in several key time slots as new or growing series challenge established hits. Some duos succeed by appealing to different viewers, others help expand the overall audience as viewers choose sides. And some would-be battles weren't: CSI: Miami easily weathered NBC's disappointing Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip; even with a Grey's Anatomy lead-in, ABC's Six Degrees isn't much of a threat on Thursdays.
