Fatherhood, golf keep Lendl busy

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Former tennis champion Ivan Lendl will be part of a presentation Sunday at the PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit, where the theme is taking golf skills developed on the practice tee into competition on the course. Lendl is finding that guiding the growth of his five daughters, three of them with ambitions of becoming pro golfers, is easier than trying to transfer his considerable skills as a tennis player to becoming a competitive senior golfer.

"At my age," says Lendl, 47, "the learning curve is much slower. There are limitations. For me it's my body. I can't do what I'd like to do. And it's time. I spend two or three weeks on the road with my kids when I can't work on my game."
