EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants' Ernie Accorsi, the NFL's senior general manager, is retiring at the end of this season. He began his pro football career as a public relations director for the Baltimore Colts in 1970. He later served as their general manager from 1982-83 and as the Cleveland Browns' GM (1985-92).

Accorsi is one of only five general managers whose teams played in at least four championship games, won a conference title and reached a Super Bowl (Giants in 2000).
