Realignment, scheduling on agenda

League officials and a representative from each division will participate in a conference call today to continue discussions about whether the NHL should embrace realignment and alter its scheduling strategy as early as next season. Deputy commissioner Bill Daly said the committee met Dec.20 and tossed around ideas on scheduling and realignment.
"Each committee representatives was supposed to go back to their own division and get feedback on those ideas," Daly said. "We are having another meeting to get the results of that." Canadian TV channel TSN has reported one proposal included splitting conferences into two divisions, instead of three.
