Pizza Hut launches Web contest to find 3-month VP of Pizza
0 Comments | USA TODAY, February, 2007 | by Laura Petrecca
Pizza Hut today will offer pizza lovers a novel way to make some dough -- and, at the same time, rally consumers to spread praise via videos for the chain's pizza.
The contest winner will be an honorary "VP of Pizza" and will get $25,000, free pizza for a year and use of a car for the three-month job.
Candidates enter by uploading videos to www.pizzahut.com/vpofpizza that proclaim their passion for Pizza Hut pizza.
The promotion launches just as Disney and CareerBuilder.com wrap up a video contest to be a theme park "cast member" -- what Disney calls its park staff -- for a day and get a four-day stay for four at Disneyland. CareerBuilder.com is a job-finding site jointly owned by Tribune, McClatchy and USA TODAY parent Gannett.
