Elton John, whose '70s hits have evolved into pop standards, has culled his 35-year-old songbook to fuel Rocket Man: Number Ones, his first single CD of greatest hits. The set arrives from Island/Universal on March 27, two days after his 60th birthday and his 60th concert at Madison Square Garden, which sets a house record. MyNetworkTV will air the show as Happy Birthday Elton, on April 5, 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Rocket Man holds 13 chart-toppers, from Daniel and Crocodile Rock to Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word and Can You Feel the Love Tonight, plus duets with George Michael on Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me and Kiki Dee on Don't Go Breaking My Heart.
