BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Quiet, so quiet.
Thousands of students from Virginia Tech sat so still Tuesday, barely moving, no shuffling, no waving to friends, no sound at all really, at the Cassell Coliseum during a remembrance of those who were killed and wounded in Monday's massacre.
"We cannot undo yesterday's events, but we can sit in patient silence with those who mourn," said Lutheran minister Bill King. He called for a moment of silence.
There was no need.
